Yesterday was one hell of a tiring yet awesome day. Has TASAD meeting at Sheela's place from 10.30am to 2am (with many many breaks in between) before rushing off with Jia Wei to work at Sembawang (as a waitress at this National Day dinner). We stopped at Causeway Point's Cotton On first cuz I had to buy a black skirt for work. And I got myself my black skirt.......... and a pair of vintage designed skirt!
No, I didn't intend to shop. But there was this crazy offer! A pair of skirt for $19.95, two pairs of skirt for $20. Which means the vintage skirt costs me only $0.05. Five Singapore cents!
Okay anyway ~ Met Zhong Hao, Tek Cong and Jun Zhi at Sembawang and off we went to work! Jonathan and Shui Yuan were already there, working their ass off. It was quite slacking in the beginning as there was nothing much to do. But when the guests arrived, it got crazy! I poured drinks like a thousand times. Sometimes I couldn't remember which drink was for who. And we even had to pour beer for those who wanted! Okay that part was quite cool. I felt old ^^
It got even more crazy when we had to serve the food! The plate was really heavy, and the three tables I'm taking care off were really far from the kitchen. Tek Cong, Zhong Hao, Jun Zhi, Jia Wei and I worked together as a team. Thanks guys for your help!
Even though my feet hurt like mad, I still had fun. We did so many stupid things, like eating their leftover food because we were curious about how it tasted like and Tek Cong taking the advantage to drink the beer. The cleaning up part was really fun, partly because we were all drinking the leftover mango sago like crazy!
We got our pay, changed and went to Woodlands Centre. Zhong Hao had to go home, so there were only Shui Yuan, Jonathan, Tek Cong, Jun Zhi, Jia Wei and I. We bought ourselves prata, slacked at the coffeeshop and walked to Woodlands Waterfront. It was a killer man!
It was already way past 1am when we got there, but the ice-cream vans were still there. Bought myself a chocolate ice-cream and attacked it once it was in my hands. The six of us just sat there, ate and talked. We left at 3am, after Shui Yuan said we had to go.
Thanks guys for taking care of me! They were really nice and sweet I swear! HAHAHA! *Hug*
Even though my feet and arms were aching, I had an interesting experience and lots of fun. It was my first time working as a waitress, and it's not gonna be the last.
Who would wanna say no to money? ;)
And this evening, it's my turn to have the dinner and for others to serve me, teehee! Mr Siva booked a table and Max, Farhan, Yi Yun, Rui Jie and some other seniors are going. Seriously excited cuz the food is so damn good!
