Hey, wassup! It has been kinda long since I last updated, and it's all Blogger's fault. I swear I wanted to update on the 31st of August, but Blogger has been such a bitch by not letting me upload any photos. Finally it has unbitched, thank God, cuz I've got lots to say. Let's begin.
Monday, 31st August 2009 - Teachers and Staff Appreciation Day:
Firstly, I would like to wish all teachers and staff of Woodlands Ring Secondary School a Happy (belated) Teachers and Staff Appreaciation Day!
The morning started out alright, with our usual gathering in the council room and duty. I helped out for the netball game during the Bond With Your Teachers segment of the day. It was fun, especially seeing how Mr Shah is so oblivious about the netball rules. And how all the teachers fell, hehe. What can be more fun than seeing them during their embarrassing moment?
Us secondary 2 councillor started getting ready for our performance's rehersal at around 9am. It was good, I must say. And before we knew it, it was time for the actual performance!
And it was simply awesome! We rocked the stage with out Michael Jackson Comes Alive dance!
Thank you my 'Thriller' dancers: Amerlin, Ariani, Jonathan, Nicholas, Shui Yuan, Zheng Yu and Zhong Hao and,
my 'Beat It' dancers: CHESTER! (our Michael Jackson), Sheela, Sacha, Illya, Kelly, Chao Xin, Farhan, Apurva, Alicia, Max, Rasyidah, Huda, Su Qing, Jia Wei and Shang Wei.
Thanks ya'all for participating, for sweating it out during our hundreds of practices, for your effort, for your sacrifices and for your committment. I know a hell lot of scoldings and screamings were involved, but it all came down to that one performance and we know we were wonderful. I love you all to bits and pieces. Councillors huat arh! (L) And thank you Raushiqah for seeing our dance during the rehersal etc even though you can't participate.
More thanks to our seniors for their encouragement and help, you guys are awesome \m/.
Dedication to Sheela ♥: I love you and you know that I do. Thanks for always being there for me, be it I'm hungry or crazy or stressed or fucked up. You're just always there. We'll definitely be friends forever. Our friendship is just in our blood. No one can ever break it, neither can the both of us. I know this is cheesy, but you know you love it! I can imagine us going to the same JC and perhaps the same university where you'll study law and I'll study medicine. We'll party every now and then, and secretly study every night. Talk about cool nerds! Maybe you'll finally get to meet Kris Allen and hug him. Maybe you'll be married to Farhan, hehe!
Dedication for Rui Jie: Well, I've known you since last year, but haven't said any shit till this year during my secondary 2 camp and when I'm in the council. And I used to think you were the most handsome basketballers among your teammates. And thanks for the Milo you treated me the other day!
The Silingians went back to school together again, and this time we got to go up to the hall. Had a short conversation with Mr Dennis Tuan. How I miss him loads! He is still the same though, and still unmarried, hehe. Slacked there for awhile, saw many old homies. Everything changed, I don't feel nostalgic about SLPS anymore. It was great to see Anisa though.
I got bored soon, and went to Causeway Point to meet Shuyi for a movie. We had McDonald's for lunch first, then went to catch Band Slam. It's a kick-ass show, should go catch it. We wanted to watch Where got Ghost, but the show will be screened at 7pm and it was like 3pm when we were there. Geez, I can't imagine walking around Causeway Point for 4 hours.
Tuesday, 1st September to Friday, 4th September 2009:
Happy birthdays to Shuyi and Shazrul! Hope you guys enjoyed your big day!
I spent my Tuesday slacking at home, and I ended up rushing through my homework. I tend to slack more when the exams are nearer, and I have no idea why too. I guess exams means that school is gonna be over, and I'm just excited.
Wednesday was school again, and I kept dozing off during lessons. Even History! I have no idea why. I thought that it was impossible with Mr Shah. And oh, we played Truth or Dare in class, it was hilarious. I did 3 jumping jacks and a sexy dance when Mdm Suzana, my Literature teacher, was going through our test. LOL.
Thursday - I got the whole canteen to sing a birthday song for Shuyi during recess, and hid her food. Somewhat a birthday bash for her. Our juniors had a match against Fuchun Secondary and they won. Not forgetting the fact that the opponent's players are like all older than them. Shuyi went to my house, and my mum asked to order pizza since it was Shuyi's birthday.
And before we all know it, Friday is back again. We got back our report books, and I was over the moon with my results. Ms Dina went all "Maria! I'm so proud of you!" when she saw them, because believe it or not, I got 8 distinctions out of the 9 subjects! 4 of them were A1s and other 4 were A2s. Disappointingly, I had gotten a B3 for my English. Don't ask me why. But I don't give a hoot because 8 DISTINCTIONS! Out of 9 subjects! Dang!
Okay, but I'm pretty sure I'm so gonna flunk art, history and chinese for the EOYs. Hah.
Oh crap, this is such a wordy post. Guess I'm gonna edit it later with colours.
I'm doing my Math homework now. I planned to complete all the holiday assignments during this weekend. Wish me luck.
Goodnight and mug the shit out of yourself for the finals!
P.S/ I just finished reading a book titled "No More Us For You" by David Hernandez (in like, 3 hours), and I wanna share it with you guys. It's about this girl named Isabel and Carlos who met and fall in love. It's not your typical romance novel because in this, it talks hell a lot about death.
Isabel's boyfriend passed away a year ago, and she hasn't gotten over it. She stones and cries every night. And then she met this chic called Vanessa. Vanessa introduced Isabel to Carlos, and they clicked. Carlos best friend, Snake, digs Vanessa, and the four of them went out on a dance together. On that fateful night, Vanessa and Snake got into a car accident and Vanessa died...
This book made me wake up to reality, and made me realize that we can't have everyone we love forever by our side. So here's a dedication to a few special people...
Sacha: You've been my BFF since I have no idea when, and we've had our crazy times, happy times and sad times together. Even though we're not as close as we were before because of your grounding, I know that I can always turn to you when I feel all alone. Keep us separated for 5 years, and I'm sure that when we got together again, we'll still talk as though nothing happened. Because we're just meant to be friends, to be best friends. I love you, very very much.
Sheela: - I shall copy and paste from the one above, hehe.-
I love you and you know that I do. Thanks for always being there for me, be it I'm hungry or crazy or stressed or fucked up. You're just always there. We'll definitely be friends forever. TS: I know, I know, it's like so weird that I'm writing a dedication for you. But well, I realized that whenever I'm feeling fucked up, you'll always be there online, and chilling me. You never fail to make me laugh with your funny experiences and everything. You're a wonderful person to talk to, and anyone who is your friend is lucky. Although we don't say a word in school, I feel like I know you so well, perhaps because you're like my perpetual MSN buddy, haha. Crap talking bout shits with you is always fun, and not forgetting our thousands of arguments about your kind of sound - oops I mean music. To keep it short, you're just a great listener (see-er?) and like a best friend I never knew I had.
And to my family, I love you guys.
More next time, peace.
